Eco-Friendly Easter Crafts For Kids

Fun And Easy Easter Crafts To Make With Your Kids

Every year, as Easter slowly approaches, I look for fun and easy Easter themed crafts that I can do with my children.

Crafting is a great way to celebrate and learn the meaning of certain holidays, and it’s also a fantastic way to work on fine motor skills!

How Can I Make Easter Crafts Eco-Friendly?

When it comes to arts and crafts, I always encourage myself, as well as my children, to use environmentally friendly supplies that can either be up-cycled, recycled, or composted. Some examples are:

  • Kraft + Construction Paper
  • Non-Toxic Glue
  • Glass Jars
  • Felt Paper
  • Egg Cartons
  • Toilet Paper + Paper Towel Tubes

Not all art and crafting supplies are 100% eco-friendly, and that’s ok. Some projects require the use of certain items like googly eyes; and I have no problem using them even though they are made from plastic because I can always reuse them on future projects. And if they make my child laugh and giggle, then I am all for it.

Below are some of my favorite low-waste Easter crafts for kids that we have been enjoying, and we hope you will too. They are super fun and easy to create, and look great when completed!

Eco-Friendly Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas For Classmates

How To Make Easy DIY Classroom Valentines With An Eco-Friendly Twist

This post contains affiliate links which may earn Eco Mom Diaries a small commission.

If you’re searching for adorable DIY Valentine’s Day classmate gift ideas that are low waste, you’ve come to the right place!

Every year, my child brings home a goodie bag full of cards, candy and disposable plastic trinkets that he collectively acquires from his classroom Valentine’s Day parties.

And while those items may bring him joy for a day, they eventually join the rest of his bedroom clutter, or get discarded into the trash bin hours later. Either way, most valentines that your child gets from their classmates is junk. And we are guilty of contributing as well.

But this year, join me in being more sustainable by forgoing the disposable Valentine’s Day trinkets, and opting for some functional home-made creations with an eco-friendly twist.

With that said, I’m sharing my top favorite DIY eco-friendly Valentines Day classroom gifts that you and your child can easily make, and hand out to their classmates on Valentine’s Day!
